This recipe was published in Yankee magazine, sometimes in the mid-90s. They sugar cookies, coconut and roll out the dough and cut in the shape of a hand print. Then decorate with butter cream, cinnamon and sweet coconut beard to look like Santa. These cookies are a holiday tradition for us, but we lost the recipe book! Please help!
Found this on the net: Hope is what is looking (looks delicious!) Coconut Cookies 1 teaspoon sugar (I prefer butter) 2 c. shortening sugar 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup of tea. vanilla 1 / 2 c.. lemon peel, grated 4 1 / 2 c. Tea 1 teaspoon flour. 2 v. teaspoon soda. baking powder 1 / 4 cup tea. 2 / 3 c. salt 1 c. coconut sour cream can be put in place and cut with cookie cutters or make into balls and press down. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
